My recent purchases are a white t-shirt by James Perse and white striped socks by American Apparel. Personally I have only been a while into wearing blank shirts. That is partly caused because it is difficult to find t-shirts that are just perfect or close to perfect. You have to take into consideration the material, quality, cut, fit, neck opening and most importantly the details.
While checking the sales of the local department store Brown Thomas I came across this t-shirt by James Perse – A brand that I thought I would never buy. Luckily I tried it and it fulfilled more or less perfectly the criterias.
The white red-white-blue-striped socks by American Apparel are excellent to be worn with black shoes and shorts. With their contrast you can make your normal pair of shoes to have a total different look.
The t-shirt is enough fitted from chest but enough loose from lower part, it is a bit tall-cut which is for my height perfect and the best parts are the sleeve ends & the baseball-shirt like round cut with the side cut details in hem.
The meaning of music has become more and more influential during the last 5 years. This summer the best way to enjoy good music was to go to Sonar Festival 2011 in Barcelona, which is one of the nicest summer cities in Europe, with the best people from Dublin, London and Helsinki.
On the first day we went to the German record label Mobilee’s day cruise to the gulf of Barcelona. The nice boat with an even better soundsystem sailed the whole sunny day while the devoted crowd was treated by the tunes of the Mobilee dj’s including Sebo K, Miss Jools, Catz n´ Dogz, Claude Von Stroke, Marcin Czubala live feat Metrobox, Ralf Kollmann, Daniel Stefanik and Exercise One.
The cruise was followed by a quick stop in the city including the infamous Manolo Bar after which we gathered ourselves to Razzmatazz’s “This is Hardcore” -party to see briefly The Bloody Beatroots – Death Crew 77 live and most importantly “The Krays” back-to-back-kind-of set by Brodinski & Yuksek. Certainly a day/night to remember.
I bought the MCM x Phenomenon collaboration chain wallet from Berlin Fashion Week’s MCM Satellite Store. Both brands have done good repositioning and branding during the past years – MCM has broaden their collections with interesting more street fashion -like collaborations while Phenomenon has grown from the street wear brand into one of the important member brands of Tokyo Fashion Week.
I have been wanting a chain wallet for a while, but even finding suitable options has been difficult. I tried a Prada camo chain wallet, but the chain felt a bit more like an accessory rather than a proper chain. Finally I found this one and it fulfills the many criterias starting from the whole color scheme to the quality, length and finish of the chain continuing to the right size and thickness of the wallet itself. And naturally I am fascinated by the collaboration and the whole looks of it.
Besides getting extremely nice customer service in the MCM Satellite Store I got this waist/belt pouch as a gift. The pouch is a good mix of the classic MCM’s patterned leather mixed with modern stud details. The multifunctional pouch can used as a pouch wallet hanging in front or back of your belt loops, and it is as a well a perfect pouch for travel necessities.
Some nice tracks for the warm days of July. In an order from the oldest to the newest.
